I've got a '97 Dakota Club Cab SLT 4x4 with a 3.9L auto. I'm buying a car due to the ungodly amount of commuting I've been doing. I do some towing, and if I would like to sell my truck for a full-size for towing purposes as mileage would not be a concern for me anymore with a car. If I cannot sell my truck (it has 125k on it), I would like to upgrade to a 5.2 or 5.9. I have access to salvage vehicles and would also like to see if anybody knows what vehicles and years would work as donors and the difficulty of the swap such as electronics etc. Would last gen dakotas work, 2wd, etc? By the way, if anybody is interested I'm asking $8500 for the truck, it's loaded, runs great, and I have pics.
