I was wondering since daks can come with rear disks now if it would be possible to do a full swap for cheaper now that its from the factory.

03 dakotas still have rear drum AFAIK
Go down to the dealership and take a look yourself

I just ordered a new Dak. in Dec., and it has disc on all four corners.

Intersting - I just went to Dodge's website and it lists 4 wheel disc brakes but when I went to the dealership I saw some 03's with rear drum.
I wonder if they tagged some of the early 03's with drums....

they made the 4 wheel disk a 400 dollar option, i think it was, so some wont have them and some will,
i would also like to know the answer to this question cause that would be cool to do that

Also the '03's list that they have the ground effects and lower bumper too...but I saw one at the dealership and it don't have all that...didn't have the 4 wheel disc brakes either.

fyi, discs are an option for '03 and ground effects are late availability as were the chrome r/t rims for '02

Just imagine getting a r/t rear out of a salvage title ride and getting a 9 1/4 rear with 3.92 sure grip plus disk brakes too boot that would be great.

Rear disk is standard for '03 on all but the lowly base models.
My '03 has rear disk 9 1/4, 3.92 LSD.... keep yer paws off!

Picked up my 03 4X4 yesterday. Disk on all four wheels. On the full size Rams (Diesels) they had 01.5 and all the 2500's were equiped with rear disc. My Ram is a 01.5 and has the rear disc. Maybe following suit and they have used up all the drums and have gone to disk???????

whats all the hype about rear disks? Larger front rotars would help out way more than rear discs would.

I have already started to buy the parts for the convertion. Some of the parts are not avalible yet. The dealer did not know why.

Rear discs are standard on all quad cabs, all R/Ts, and all 4X4s. They are options on other Daks.

I'd be interested in this conversion as well. The SSB conversion would be great but thats damn expensive. I've already go the 3.92's, 9.25 and LSD. I think the disks weigh a bit less than the drums. Thats why i'd want them. Plus they look better behind your rims than drums do.

Cool, then we can all post about those shi##y Dodge REAR discs and the warping, which is usually just uneven buildup on the rotor anyway.

Wonder what the final cost on parts minus pads/rotors would be, anyone have an estimated idea yet?

Will these bolt up to an '02 QC, and do you have to replace the ABS valve?
