Everyone says these TB's are a waist of money and have no real gains. So why does everyone say to get one????

I am guessing that you are referring to the TB spacers...not the TB's.

The TB Spacers, yes. The actual modified throttle bodies...hell no! They work excellent.

(And I carry the 4.7L "Fastman" modified 4.7L throttle bodies.) ;)

** Flometrics is in the final stages of their 4.7L TB as well.

So you replace the whole throtle body. Is it
easy and can I do it myself??? This HP thing
is really addicting!!!!!:) How much does it cost
for the throtle body? I got a 2001 4.7. What
does everyone think is the better one to buy?

Both the Fastman and Flometrics 4.7L TB's are excellent pieces of work. However, the Flometrics TB won't be available for several more weeks.

The Fastman is only available in a modified 65mm version (1999-2000) at this time and the 2001 68mm isn't availble yet.

Give it a few more months and they'll both be available.

It takes time for the new model...I had to wait 6 months for any type of aftermarket parts for my '97 when I had purchased it (in March'97).

It's easy to swap out the Throttle Bodies. Just watch it on the "Mystery Bolt" on the 4.7L ;)

You'll know what I mean when you do it.
