Subject: Crankcase breather filter IP: Logged
Message: Would a crankcase breather filter (the ones that look like mini K&N cone filters for our cold air intakes) do any good on our trucks. I would assume we'd have to plug the hole left behind in out Air Hats, or if we go open element directly on the TB that we wouldn't have to punch the hole in the assembly, that we could just bolt on.
Tell me if this is a good idea please.
Here's a link to a similar part from Summit, I don't know that this is the right size or not.

Message: I have one. You can get a rubber grommet to plug the
hole left behind in the air hat.

did that thing increase performance?
looks like it would draw more hot air from the exhaust manifolds than good cold air?

Message: i noticed a difference in low end after the intake was installed, i plan on getting the sniper hood with the twin inlets on the hood and after that is installed i expect to see even better results.

Message: Big Joe
In my case it is less of a performance or look thing, there was no place to put the hose after I changed the filter for the blower. I don't think there is any real performance benefit form the crankcase filter. It just improves looks and doesn't suck crankcase fumes into the intake. Just my opinion.
