in the lastest truckin they installed a spintech muffler system on a 2001 rt, according to them they gained 40 horsed, can anyone give me more info on this and tell me what the gain might possible be on my 5.2, how much are the kits and so forth, thank you d_fl8ted1

Definitely worth looking into. They were very helpfull in helping me chose a muffler for my 99 3.9. I love the sound and it seems to have helped the truck breath out better. Check their website, I think it is spintech.com

d_fl8ted1, that was Scott Quaranta's 408ci supercharged '00 R/T that that exhaust system was installed on. To gain 40 horses by bolting on a 3in dual exhaust system on a supercharged 408 is quite possible on that type of engine setup. But I don't think that you will gain that much hp with your 318. Your gain will be, I'd say about 15-20hp depending on your setup with one of their exhaust systems. As med said, "Definately worth looking into."
