just a little update,i will have it ready to show by tuesday.have a little final touches to do,
and it is done.3" ,one piece,mandrel bent ,aluminized inlet,heat resistant paint.
it is the same configuration as my current one,
utilizing the factory hole in the fender.i used a k & n filter,with a shield covering the opening,with the filter in the fenderwell.
i really like it,and this is what everyone has been wanting.this is for the 4.7

'bout time! We've been waiting for you to get this out. I want to replace my just made sewer pipe with a better intake, and your's sounds good. Any chance we could buy one without the filter, and what's $$$$ gonna be Steve , Thanks

forgot to mention the iat is relocated near the last bend into the fenderwell.and has nitrous port,since this is on my truck.

The air intake looks really good.
Are you buying over the counter exhaust piping or having them bent for you..?
Most metal intake piping is to hot to touch after a few miles driving. Have you ever felt how hot the piping gets..?

looks like a great intake!!! kinda reminds me of the mustang cold air intakes that have the filter in the fender.
i doubt that metal would get too hot, i have mandrel bent exhaust tubing for my intake tube coming off of my turbo and its never too hot that i cant touch it. I also used the same kinda paint on it has nitroussteve, though... it must be doing something

your right,my 98 supercharged gt had the filter set up that way.it helped my concept.i felt the inlet tube after about 6 hard runs for g tech
times.it was warm.not really hot.the outside temp was 60 degrees.i found some heat barrier wrap,not the header kind.one that slides over,
one piece.it is a shiney aluminum look to it.
would help the heat and would look pretty good cosmetic wise.i am looking into it.
