not a big chevy person but my thought is the 327 is the only good chevy motor and i would stick with that.

If your going to the trouble and money to put a 440 in your truck why not just stick a jet turbine into the back. Add about 3000 horse power. Or just get the Rocket power JATO or RATO packs they use to assist the C-130 during short take-offs. Do what you want with YOUR truck. I think it's kind of strange to buy MOPAR and go with the 350 chevy under the hood, but the main fact is that it is YOUR truck, and anything is possible with the right tools time and money. Just might have to rip out your chassis and put your Dakota on a Chevy s-10 frame or somthing weird like that. But I would go with a new 360, rear end, and tranny.

look at his name, he is disturbed already! most inbreads already are and the 327 was only a hi rever not a hi torquer which is what you need in a truck. as far a power, a 360 has the capability of producing more hp AND torque per cubic inch then any smallblock chevy, therefor prooving the string author a disturbed inbreed.

I looked and sure enough there is a 345 inch International Harvester motor on the pile behind the shop. Its needs rebuilt but if you really want a unique truck I'll let you have it for $200 bucks. You would really be the talk on the boards them.
