Message: I have 99 R/T Dak. I am trying to add some stuff to get her going a lil quicker . I was looking into a new throttle body. Is this a wise investment and what will be my gains? What will my expenses be?

Message: The cost can range from free (do it your self porting with a dremel tool or drill press) to $250 for a Fastman re-worked stock with your core exchange to $450 for F&B Billet TB with thinner blades, screws and shaft. Everyone agrees to better throttle response and increase in pull throughout the RPM range. I done mine on my 5.9 R/T with a dremel tool and a 2 inch 120 grit sanding wheel on a drill press. Its not hard, just have to be precise not to screw it up beyond repair. I noticed a little more "peppiness" from off idle. They say the Flometric's ones are works of art and really give a noticeable change, but for $450 you can get 1.7 RollerRocker's or a cam installed.....then again its a never ending money pit with this stuff. Im never satisfied.
