i don't know about uncoated headers, but i have a set of ceramic coated headers on my '93 dakota and those headers put out a lot more heat than the stock manifolds

Un coated headers put out a lot more heat then the stock maifold. I have JBA ceramics w/ Bosch premium wires (temporary). I'm somewhat waiting for them to burn up (haven't yet in 1 month) so I can go with a better set up.
If you do go with un coated, buy yourself a set of insulators (about $50)... I've been told that people with coated should also, but I haven't put mine on yet.......burn arn you burn.....not really don't need a fire in my Dak.
