Subject: HO Intake/Cams-Next?
IP: Logged

Message:
Ordered the HO cams and intake for my 03 4.7 QC (4x4 5 speed) today, still a good deal from McKinney Dodge. Should have them in by New Year's. Also have pulled the clutch fan and installed the Robertshaw 180 and Autolite 3923s. What should I look to next - cold air, TB, or go to the exhaust side w/ a 3" catback? Or does it matter? I'll have to wait a month or so between mods, don't want to end up festering for a month due to choked performance.

Do your intake and TB mods before getting the exhaust done. That includes putting in the HO Cams and Intake. Try the shaker hood! I love that particular mod.

Cold Air intake and 3" exhuast would round off the package...and fully utilize the HO stuff. If you haven't done it already, get (or make) a IAT adjuster and re-set your TPS at optimal voltage (see Speadtweaks for TPS instructions).
