If you put slicks on that thing the 8 1/4 rear will probably blow apart with one holeshot.

Maybe, But I would try out the slicks somewhere close to my shop before I got it to the track just to make sure. If it did blow up I would laugh it off and change it over to the B-body 8 3/4 I have as a standby. Also it wouldn't be the first time I blew an 8 1/4 up:)
