"on the 4.7L engines, it's underneath the throttle body sensors in the intake manifold (driver-side rear)."

Kris is right. :)
As for the initial setting on the 4.7L...try 1-2 O'clock position. (Worked very well on several 4.7's at that temp.)

Yes John...it will help. We've tested it on a '99 R/T before the S/C was installed and then after...in the Texas heat. It works perfectly.

Message: Bernd. I read about the IAT adjuster at speed tweaks and have a couple Q's.
Ok I have installed the IAT adjuster on my truck. If I am cruising around town what setting should I be at? Do I guess the temp outside and that's the setting?
OK I have an R/T beside me that and the light is red and he's reving his engine?? Can I set it for max performance where fuel economy at that moment doesn't matter? If so what kind of HP boost should I excpect from this single mod at it's peak perf in my 4.7?
Does a cold air intake compliment the adjuster or does that mod or any others mods for that matter have a negligiable efect?
Thanks Bernd. Do you ship to Canada, lots of cool air in Vancouver. Ussually in the 50's to 80's here from spring to fall.

"Jeff'ster":
The setting would depend on the vehicle, temp, and modifications. But, the best range on the 4.7L seems to be from 50-30 degrees (12 - 2 O'clock position). It's been tested with a lot of different engine configurations (mods) and it has responded very well on all of them.
Yes, we ship to Canada but customs like to look at those boxes for a while...takes about 7-10 days from time of shipping. Cost is slightly higher for shipping as well...i'm not too worried about it though (shipping costs).

Message: Bernd,
You say that the IAT adjuster could advance timing as much as 3 degrees. Does this mean that I would have increased knocking without using premium? Thanks

Albert,
Maybe...it's been tried on a 4.7L and it pinged (extreme adjustments though and for testing purposes). If you're running decent fuel (no El-Cheapo gas stations) you shouldn't have a problem at all.
Jay,
It's not a stupid question...You can get all the info from this URL:

Message: Bernd, you always get your point across without any negative words! Personally, I'm looking forward to next week when I get to visit Marty over at KRC and get some much needed horsepower(hopefully including one of your IAT modules :) !! First time around I think I'm going to go w/ new conical K&N intake w/ tubing, throttle body enhancement, IAT repositioning, IAT module(thanks Bernd, and last but not least plugs, wires, cap & rotor. Thanks again for getting me the info I needed Bernd

Message: Sorry Bernd but one more question,
I eventually plan on getting a mopar PCM for my 4.7. They say that these advance timing 4 degrees. So does that mean that with your IAT adjuster my timing could be advanced as much as 7 degrees!? Also, are there any problems with towing with the IAT adjuster? I have a 5000lb. boat.
Thanks for the endless supply of info

Message:
I haven't dealt with the 4.7L PCM's that much but if they "just" advance the timing 4 degrees (and nothing else) it's not going to be good on performance. I highly doubt that they just do a simple timing curve change...fuel enrichment is also taken into consideration.
On the IAT Adjuster, would it advance even more...it's possible, but only on extreme adjustments (20 degrees temp or lower set on the dial). What you may want to try first is relocate the IAT sensor on the 4.7 after the custom PCM flash. If it doesn't "ping", then you can try the IAT Adjuster.
(They do carry a 30-day money back guarantee.)

Message: i was wondering on a 2002 , 4.7 ,is the IAT sensor located in the intake on the drivers side just below the throttle sensors, 2 wire, gray plug and if so when its pluged in will the battery have to be disconnected to reset the computer? thanks for your reply..bill.
