Message: When the code release was prematurely leaked about 6 months ago in a trade mag, the salesman suggested $10k for the site license, but I wouldn't put too much stock in that pricing because a lot has changed since.
The software runs on a PC.

Message: so....
if each flash is costing you guys
around $500.00, one person would only
have to flash 20 pcms to get the money back
and start turning a profit?

Message: I think you're making some overly simplistic assumptions about the software. I know guys with HUNDREDS of hours of exposure to it that do not fully understand the logic contained within because DC doesn't let that info out.
In order to even access this release you need 1)"qualify" to purchase it. Only offered to big SEMA companies AFAIK 2)spend several hundred hours to get comfortable with it or risk blowing stuff up and 3)have years worth of background in Mopar engines, particularly fuel and spark curves and endless possible mod combos/cam profiles to have a feel for those curves.
Ron Zimmer(Leach Co) has the experience and B&G has inside access at DC. Not likely you'll be able to compete with either of those guys. On top of that, DC is not keen on the idea of independant tuners doing exactly what you propose. Best bet is to encourage the people that do have access to offer something a bit more customized than the current offerings. Dave at B&G and Tom/Mike at Leach Co. could take this to the next level and offer real dyno tuning to expand the knowledge base on this stuff. Cost might be more than what it is now, but the results would be worth it, IMO.
