I've noticed a few of you have roadmaster active suspension listed under your mods so I went to their website and checked it out. Sounds just like what I need, I wanted a little better handling without having to lower my QC. However, I already have a shell and that pretty much eliminated the axle hop, my question is does it really help in cornering and straight line accelration like it claims? How much did you all pay for it?

Works exactly like it claims. If you have any more questions just give them a call and talk to the guy who runs the business -- I forgot his name, but a nice guy.

I paid I think 220 shipped or something.

I don't remember the cost but it's the best thing iv'e done to the truck. The ride is much better even without a load. The interstate bumps have dissapeared. You won't regret getting them.

More weight capacity AND a better ride. Expect about 2" lift but better handling, loaded or empty. I found best price at Mr. Bob's Distributing, $30 to $35 below list price for a wide variety of applications. Origially shipped with wrong bracket but fast and friendly customer service got me the right part quickly.

thanks for the replies everyone. One more thing, does it only raise the back end? Is there a simple way to level it out? Do our 2wd have torsion bars like the 4wd, I don't think so. Maybe a set of r/t rear leaf srings will level it huh?

I installed my roadmaster with my hotchkis, so I have no idea on mine, but mine sits level and the Hotchkis is supposed to be a 3" drop and is supposed to achieve that. I wouldn't expect it to raise it any higher than 1/2". You can pickup a set of R/T springs for cheap if it really bothers you.

No. And that's in the front.

I also already had a 2/3 drop on the truck. After installing the Roadmaster's the rear was maybe 1 inch higher.
