Message: I've heard and seen photos (I think they were on here) that ASE actually cuts open the metal case and carves out the potting compound and inserts a new chip. Coem to think of it, it may have been on Mopar Chat and it may have been in the Ram forum. But the result is kinda ugly. Good thing that side goes towards the fender......

Message: ASE's chip only removes the top speed limiter and moderately advances the timing, and "improves driveability" (what a joke). I called them and they were very short with me. Check into B&G Chrysler out of Warren, Michigan. A bit pricey, but everyone says its worth it, they actually reprogramm the computer, no cutting into it. And thier flash its much more advanced than anyone elses, they even increase shift points and remove the torque management setting.....you can now roast your tires at will.
