Subject: Headers for my 95 5 speed IP: Logged
Message: I have a 95 5.2 Dakota 5 speed and mopor only offers their headers for a 95 in an automatic. Can someone tell me what the difference is and if they will work.

Message: BLAH.. Lies... Get a set of Doug Thorley's... they will fit your 5spd just fine. I had a 95 and ran those-- a little tight around the stearing box-- But are the correct headers for the 95 5spd.
www.truckperformance.com will probably have the lowest price--

Message: Actually, Thorley specs different part numbers, same price, for auto vs. stick in a '95. Summit has the best price.

Message: actually I was wondering if the automatic headers from Mopar will fit my 5 speed truck, a buddy of mine has a set off a 95 automatic truck and I can get them pretty cheap. I just want to know what the difference is. I think its the EGR system.

Message: Both 95's would have EGR. I know part of the difference is in the y-pipe and how it goes around the respective trannies. I think there is also a difference relative to the steering shaft.
MOPAR used to have a separate part number for headers of a 95 318 5speed. It was discontinued a couple of years ago.
