Subject: RT camshaft IP: Logged
Message: After reading the posts and after my exper with MP parts(headers, 2brl m1, 1.6 RRs) I have decided to use the RT camshaft. I will stay street legal, the veh is driven daily and I should gain maybe another 20 HP. With these mods I figure my 5.2 should be around 275HP at the crank. I beleive this is a realistic number. If anyone has some hard numbers or first hand exper please reply.

Message: With the 4bbl MPI and the RT cam, my SAE corrected peak rwhp was 226.1. With the dynos. calculated 22.5% driveline loss, this would put my SAE corrected flywheel peak hp at around 300. Please note that chassis dynos cannot accurately give flywheel numbers (only an engine dyno can do that) but if done the same way by each and every dyno operator, it provides a level ground for comparison no matter where you are located. HTH.

Message: My 5.2 put down 245rwhp(dynojet) with the R/T cam and other mods BEFORE the M1 intake install.
245 X 1.15(15%)= 281.75 crank hp with a 5 speed.
With stock heads it's a good cam!
