 Subject: AutoXray OBDII Scanner?

I Just bought his scanner and found out that you don't have the enhanced features on it. WTF is up with that. Paid $250 fo this thing and now the book says I have to call Support and pay for the upgrade to ENHACED version. Anyone else have a problem like this. It is the night befor thanksgiving and I wanted to work on my truck, but now I am screwed without this upgrade. All it is, is a code puller without the upgrade.
sorry for the venting, but had lots of plans this weekend to work on the truck.

I had that happen also, but even without "enhanced" you should still be able to monitor temp, 02 sensors, MAP, etc. in real time.

Old post from the past. You can get upgrades from Autoxray over the web with their software or you would have to send it to them.

i know its old post so thanks for replying. I have the software for those upgrades but the enhanced functions have a 4 digit alpha numeric code to put in to unlock other functions the software upgrade doesnt provide(i need this 4 didgit code). The tool is limited with out this and i already spent $200 to buy it and they want mroe to unlock other stuff which should not be so.

How much for this "upgrade"? a 4 digit # seems
possible to hack. If it's a hex based number
( 0-9 A-F ) then the odds are 1 in 65535. 0000 - FFFF.
Just thinking out loud as I was planning to buy
this scanner.

we'l lsome other guys i met started other threads saying the same thing but wanted seed and unlock codes from people who have done it. i think they wanted at least 2 to figure it out but whoever had them wouldnt give them. So it fell through but i'm still tryin to get a crack figured. The upgrade depends. different for the chrysler, Gm, blah blah blah. i think its $80 for all the enhanced upgrades. its a nice tool but would be better with full function.
