I ordered my 01QC with 4 wheel ABS. I would like to run two different size tires on it (approx. 1" difference in Dia.) Can this be done? I have been told that with 4 wheel ABS all the tires must be the same dia. Any info would be appreciated. Does anyone have the number to the Mopar Tech Line?

Not sure about the answer to your question...(I don't think it would matter) but I definitely wouldn’t do it if you have a 4X4.
The number to the tech line is 800-362-3569...I called them last week asking for performance PCM info. The guy didn’t sound very optimistic (maybe his dog died or something)...
Good luck.

Cuda is right! If you have 4 wheel drive you should have all 4 tires the same height (same brand and type too because tire height differs greatly from each maker) If you don't have the same tires all the way around, your 4 wheel drive system will always be fighting its self and increase wear and tear.

Call the tech line in a previous post for the definitive answer. But here is my opinion:

My thinking is that you can't run tires of different overall diameters, which yours would be. ABS is based on the wheel-speed sensors reporting back to the computer what each wheel is doing. By running tires of different overall diameters, the sensors would report back different wheel speeds; the smaller wheel/tire would be spinning faster for a given road speed than the larger one. If you never applied the brakes, it probably wouldn't matter. The moment you apply the brakes, because of the different wheel speeds, the computer would assume that one end of the truck is beginning to lock up (the end with the larger tires). The brake system would then reduce line pressure to those slower tires in an attempt to equalize the wheel speed. This would result in longer stopping distances because every time you stepped on the brakes, the computer would treat it as an ABS event. Having said all that, I know that there are vehicles out there that come from the factory with tires that have different diameters, but I'm pretty sure that information is fed into the computer at the factory so that the computer wouldn't treat every brake application as an ABS event. Since your dak came from the factory with equal sized tires, switching to unequally sized tires could be a problem. There's probably some fudge factor built into the software to account for minor differences in tire diameter, but I have no idea how much.
