im in the middle of doing that now...im making a wood mold and then useing fiberglass with a release agent...i used the B&M megashifter and removed the center seat... i'll post pic's when im done

Looks cool all ready. Did you have any problems with the installation. How do I I.D. what trans I have, I have a 99 Dakota x-cab SLT 5.2. Also do you know were to get a shift kit for these trucks.

trans shift kit?? go through trans-go, nuff said. im happy with it.
i want to do the same thing, but with the r/t console, where could i put the shifter?? i was thinking maybe boring out one of the cupholders or something...any suggestions?

i sat in my truck for a long time measuring and find a spot that would "Feel" right... But just never found a spot i liked... if i left the stock console in i would loose cupholders and if i tried to keep the cupholders.. i would rack my knuckles in park...so thats why i went with my own console... if you dont mind loosing the cupholders then it will fit without removing the center seat... if you really want to do this mod go buy the shifter and sit in your truck like i did and measure stuff out.... im sure you will want to get rid of the center seat though

I am in the same boat. I have the megashifter truck version and I pulled the console in the middle, and have been measuring for about 2 weeks. I think the toughest part is get the cable ran on my lowered truck. Anyone got to that point yet?

do you have the full console or the jump seat with the fold down back?? i have a full console...wish i had the other seat.
THINKING about doing some modifications to the whole factory cupholder mold to fit a shifter...anyone who put a shifter in the console leave pix!
