Message:
I just got some fms 19 lbs injectors and i'm have A problem when I first start my truck up after it has been setting (over night) it has a really rough idle.I was wondering if I might be getting to much fuel when I first start my truck? If i get a performance thottle body would it help?(which is what I am getting next)Or is there something else I need to do? My truck is a 97 5.2 4x4,auto,3.92 gears,Intense performance intake,Flowmaster exhaust.

I have a 97, modded 5.2, 4x2, 3.92, 44RE. I have tried the FMS 19# as well. The tips between the FMS and oem injector are different which results in a different spray pattern. This would be most noticeable when engine is cold and most likely is the cause for the rough idle. I have an air-fuel gauge and the movement of the needle shows that that the pcm is searching around to maintain stoich in a much different way than with the stock injectors. HTH.

Be sure to reset the computer. Once reset; start the engine and let it idle for about five minutes before reving the motor. Then drive as usual. It still may take 200/300 miles for the computer to readjust to the changes. If it doesn't clear up you may just have a dirty injector. Pull them and spray them out or have a good professional cleaning. Gas tank additive won't help at this stage.

You may also have a leak around one of the injector o-rings, if you do pull them out to clean them, lightly coat the o-rings with a thin film of 10w30, that should seal it properly.
