Apparently these are pics from the up and coming movie. One of the pictures is of a Dakota with that ugly SR-71 body kit. I hope the truck has more than a sixer under the hood!

It actually comes with a 420hp 5.9L and richmond 6 speed tranny. You can read about it here.

I think this movie actually could be good... There's a lot more money going into it than the first one, which means more expensive car chases and crashes.

Im pretty sure that is a one of a kind Dakota.. maybe you could talk to the company that manufactured it and see if they can reproduce one for you. Check out http://www.vongenaddidesign.com/sr71.html to find out about it and get the info to the company. If they will reproduce, find a price and post it. If it isnt over $2k I might be interested.

The only thing i dont like about the SR-71 is the bed and rear end. Everything else is awesome. Look at the performance and handling this dakota TRUCK is dishing out!

Guys,
I have also read there will be a Challenger R/T, Saleen Stang, Viper, Vette, and a few exotic imports. Perhaps the movie won't be so unrealistic this time around.
There is another racing movie in the works. This one is said to be more realistic and has a documentary type of look. There is only one car that was built for the movie, the rest are owned by real racers. Here is the link:

Holy hell, there's a quality movie for ya, lol.
At the time, she could hardly speak a word of English, but in order to play the role of Noza, she became fluent.
Holy crap.
Each member of this cast of non-actors was hand-picked over the course of two years
Hrm... I wont expect much from it, but it seems like it's something different and I'd watch it.

I live in south florida and was invited to be an extra in the movie.. I have a 2000 CC R/T. I don't think they will be racing any dakotas, but I when I went to the film shoot they had a lot of trucks there. It kinda made my dak look like a turtle since its all looks an no engine.. Turtle meaning slow.. They pay you $75 for just showing up.. $100 if they drive your truck, and $175 if you drive it.. I did not see that dakota however. Unless it's in the L.A. shoot. I think they are filming parts in miami and parts in L.A. but I am not to sure on it..

Since our company was involved in filming the first one, it looks like I'm gonna have to ask the boss to see if he's been approached about part 2. Fyi, you see our flatbed tow truck, when he brings the Supra to the shop, "GPTOW84" Our trucks were also in Heat, Gone In 60 Seconds, and Big Fat Liar to name a few, and we're always transporting cars for movie shoots. Chances are if the movie involves a few cars, we're moving them

yea, the performance of that truck seems pretty dammed cool, as does most of the front half of the truck...that rear end though....ew...gross. im going to make my own movie...starring me, johnny octane, and my crew of racers with 10 second cars, huge wings, and bad attitudes. theres a 2g buy in and my worthy opponent for the climax race will be kotaon20's 84 olds...should be a real fun time.

I almost like it. The end gate treatment is not right. I wish Dodge would take a look this way for a SSR killer. It seems like all of the hard work has already been done by SR-71. Seems that they could pretty much just copy it.
