 Subject: New MSD replacement coil

For those of you who care, I just got an email from a tech at MSD who said they now make a new direct replacement coil for 1997 and up Dodge trucks that DO NOT require an adapter ....MSD# 8239. I know there have been a few of you who found out the hard way that the #8228 don't work for us. So now we have a "plug n' play" MSD coil. I just dont know where to get one.

unless you are constantly runnin over 6,000rpm you don't need a MSD coil the factory coil is rated for 6,000 and for street use that is all you need.

I've found the MSD#8239 at Summit Racing. Do a part# search for MSD-8239. However it is on backorder there. They say tentative arival will be Dec 5th if you put the order in now.
