i have an 00' cc w/the 4.7 and an auto and i have seen a fairly steady drop in my mpg over the time i have owned it. last year at this time i was getting roughly 2-3 more mpg. i dont drive it any diffrently, as a matter of fact i dont get in at as much as i did because the mpg is getting so bad. is there anything i can do that may help? i have a custom cat back exhaust and an airaid intake w/265/50/20's and i had them all last year, but like i said it just keeps going down, down, down.... any help would be great.

20inch wheels??? weight more than a honda. plus is your air filter clean. change your plugs, and 02 sensor if that doesn`t work go and run over some honda`s with those monster truck wheels. you`ll feel much better!!

I would change the plugs. Mine did the same, and I got it all back when I changed plugs. I waited till 50xxx, but should have done it at about 20xxx. My plugs didn't look bad, but a lot of material was burnt off the end, leaving a gap of .050 - .055.

They might have reformulated your gas in your area and that might bring on the lower mileage they do it here in California quite often, Just my 2c worth

Definitely check the plugs. Our trucks seem to be very sensitive to plug gap, and as plugs age the gap generally gets bigger. That will kill mileage. And if you're running a cooler plug than stock, try less gap than the .040 that's recommended...I've heard that .035 works well with cooler plugs.

And 1flamed92dak is right...the winter blends of gas sold in a lot of areas will kill mileage as well.
