For the group, the gears, any ratio size, with full install kit including bearings and shipping $235. This is a rock bottom price and it is advised that you get the full install kit and bearings.

This includes the 3.92, 4.10, and 4.56 gears for the dodge 9 1/4" rear end only (R/T guys and 5.9L and maybe more models).

They are Motive gears and we need 10 people to swing the deal. Let me know if your interested. There already a few buyers on the delphiforums board.

When would this be going through? I'm strapped for cash right now,,maybe next month if it lasts that long.

Quick question while I'm on it. There are some 4.7L w/open 3.55's that have the 9 1/4 rear right? Cause I'm pretty sure that's what my truck has. It's a '01. Is that possible I have a 9 and 1/4 rear or am I imagining it?

What would my gear ration be now on my R/T w/3.92s and 30.5" diameter rear tires instead of the stock 28"? I know it lowers it but by how much?

The reason I ask this is cause I can still do 20' burnouts just by stompin on the gas(No brake or slammin from Neutral).

ZenDak it's possible you have a 9 1/4. There are a couple ways to be certain. Look on the sticker in the glove box. Count the bolts on the diff. Look for a sticker on the diff. Or call your local Dodge dealer, give them your VIN and they should be able to tell you.

not a member2, what's this 'extreme' word you speak of?

Here are some numbers for you to chew on:

3.92 gears, stock tires 28", Over Drive

2000 rpms 61 mph
2500 rpms 77
3000 rpms 92
4000 rpms 123

4.56 gears with same rpms: 53, 66, 80, 106

30.5 tires would give you a 3.59 gear ratio

The group buy will probably be good for this month, but it has to go quick so people can get their stuff in a timely manner.

So far I think we have about half, but it's only been out since last night. I have posted a group buy in the group buy section. Add your name and email when you have made up your mind to buy. That way I can get an accurate account of how is in.

Thanks for the numbers R/Truck....So 4.56 gears with 30.5" tires would net me about a true 4.20 or so...interesting, I'll need to think about this some more. Thanks again.

Is there anyway I could sign up for a set of 5.38 gears? I used to run 10.26:1 planetary gears out at the end of the axles like Bigfoot had...

But I think my mileage is hurting pretty badly. This should give me some more highway capabilities. I should be able to do about 70 at 4500 rpm or so.....

Heh. Just let me know.....

Yeah, they are what the serious guys run in their Narrowed Dana 60's & stuff like that. And they are frickin' huge.

Of course I was just kidding, there.....

I can't even begin to imagine driving 4.56's on the street without the Tremec 6-spd in front of them.... but that's just me.
