any muffler is really street legal. I do know that the single chamber muffler is REALLY loud, I would go with a 40 series if i were you. As for the megaphone tips, they are awsome. What a megaphone tip really does is amplify the exhaust note at the end of the pipe/muffler depending on the application. Ive never had those types of tips, buti have heard a lot of them and they do create a difference in the exhaust tone.

The flowmaster 1 chamber deep sounding it is tinney. Plus you have more options with the 40. With the 1 chamber there isnt a single in dual out, plus it is 4in/out. Mostly race applications so you can run straight headers into it to remain street legal. I spoke with a tech from flowmaster and he doesnt recommend due to the fact you have limited choices and the sound isnt as deep.
I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks, so I wondered what do Chinese mothers use? Toothpicks?
