Message: My buddys old '97 went 1.58's when he had it with a mild 360 with a 200hp shot.
His used Cal Tracks , vertical mounted HAL shocks , 3 main leafs per side with the remainder of the factory spring pack , 29x9 Goodyear slicks , 9 1/4 with 4.56's/locker / 8 3/4 ends , no sway bar.
Up front he had 4 cyl springs , no sway bar , HAL drag shocks.
Trans was a 999 with 2.74 1st gear and 4,800 stall Precision converter.
Other little things was the spare was still under the back , he had a 'glass bed cover , battery and 16 gal cell in the bed.
It weighed 3600# without him and ran 11.60's@111 and would carry the wheels about 15 feet roughly 1' in the air.
The suspension was basically copied from a stock eliminator Dakota and seemed to work well.
