50- I understand you now. They did make a 70 Challenger R/T (actually they made a Challenger R/T every year they made the "E" body Challenger.) There is a decient 70 Challenger R/T sitting under a tree on one of the main streets here in town just rotting away. It's pretty sad, and it took me a year to figure out who owned it! (I'm a mailman in the area so I asked around) They guy had a thick stack, probably 100 names and number of people who offered to buy the thing, he is just some old hippie who bought it new and now only drives it when he needs to go out of town, otherwise he rides his bike. It is pretty clean but does have some body rust, lots of surface rust, but no dents. It is a 383 car which was standard for the R/T but I beleive the 340 was a no cost option on the R/T, then of course you could also get the 440, 440-6, and 426 Hemi. It just breaks my heart to deliver mail by it, they actually pick it up and tow it a block at a time to clean the street around it, then the nexy day they guy moves it back! It's just messed up!

My age shows sometimes because when I talk cars I go all the way back to the mid sixties when I got my drivers license. Hehe. That is a sad story about the Challenger. I have a similar one. My cousin bought a 70 Challenger T/A when it was about 5 years old. He disassembled it and painted the body BROWN. It had plenty of runs since he knew nothing about painting. Weeds grew up around it and the body rotted away until finally some junk man picked it up. The motor is still in pieces in his barn and he won't let me have it.
