There was quite a few of them running mid-7's @180+mph in pro stock truck until they're class was dissolved. some of them still run in the sportsman classes.
A '97 reg cab one of my friends used to own currently runs 9.40's@148 with a W5 headed 416 on spray - it's not streetable but it does have lights , mufflers , tags and insurance , etc.
I think the fastest efi Magnum small block powered truck is Big Bird - a club cab R/T runs high 10's with traction problems.

i dont know about 1/4 mile times, but gale banks' "project sidewinder" is the fastest dakota ever. a true race truck it is. tows a trailer full of its own parts to the salt flats races, and tows the trailer home. a 5.9L turbodiesel in a dakota with nascar style i.f.s., a 12" total drop (says sport truck mag) and a trailer hitch. that man rules. oh yes....if you can top 212 mph in your dakota, you rule as well.

i have seen a dak run 9.76 in the 1/4 it wooped the snot out of a camaro i thought that was the funniest thing ever but nobody believes me
