 Subject: Stage II Jet Chip

I have a 2000 3.9 Auto Dakota. I am looking into installing a Stage II Jet Chip. I was wondering what modifications I should make to my truck before I install this. I have air intake and exhaust installed on the truck already. I was also wondering what other parts I should get along with the chip for best performance. Thanks.

THROW THE JET MODULE AWAY, THEY MAKE A MOPAR PERFORMANCE PCM FOR YOUR TRUCK, THE GAINS FROM THAT WILL BE 10 TIMES GREATER THEN THE JET MODULE, THEY BUILT THE TRUCK THEY KNOW THE TRUCK BETTER THEN JET, I HAD A JET MODULE IN MY 96 RAM AND PUT THE MOPAR PERFORMANCE ECU AND IT WAS A HOLE NOTHER WORLD THE TRANNY SNAGGED GEARS BETTER AND THE TRUCK RAN ALOT MORE SMOOTHER. BUT IF YOUR INTENT ON KEEPING THE STAGE 2, THE MAJOR THINGS SO YOU DON'T BURN YOUR ECU UP IS A HIGHER FLOWING EXHAUST, 180 DEGREE THERMASTAT, AND AND AIR INTAKE SYSTEM.... AND I AM NOT YELLING I AM A CADD OPPERATOR AND ALWAYS WHEN I AM WORKING MY COP STAYS IN CAPS.

I wasn't aware that Mopar actually made its own Performance PCM. How does the price run on one of them? Where can I get it? Thanks Again

GO TO YOUR NEAREST DODGE DEALER MOST WILL ORDER MOPAR PARTS, IF NOT MOPARPERFORMANCE.COM LISTS THEM, OR GO TO PERFORMANCETRUCK.COM, PERFORMANCECOMBOS.COM, PLACES LIKE THAT CARRY THEM BUT GET RID OF THE STAGEII JET MODULE.
IF YOU GO TO MOPARPERFORMANCE.COM YOU LOOK UNDER MAGNUM AND IT HAS PERFORMANCE CONTROLERS ON THERE REAL EASY TO FIND AND A SINCH TO INSTALL 10 MINS MAX. BUT THAT NEW YOU WILL NEED A DEALERSHIP TO PROGRAM YOUR MILAGE AND A FEW OTHER THINGS BEFORE IT WILL RUN SO WHEN YOU INSTALL IT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE DEALER TO PROGRAM IT THEY HAVE YOU BY THE BALLS THERE BUT THE BENEFITS ARE WAY GREATER THEN THE JET MODULE TRUST ME.

i have a stage II jet chip ill sell for $150...used for about a month.
they are right about the mopar computer, go to krc performance and check it out, they are about $330 with vin # writing (i think thats mandatory)..if you want the jet chip email me!! and yes, a thermostat helps out A LOT. i was very happy with it, my truck runs nice and cool now.

There is no Mopar PCM for the 3.9L. Before you recommend something, find out if it exists, eh?
The JET II has mixed reviews. Some trucks it works good on, some it does not. It worked great on mine, I think it's a combination of my modifications and the fact that it is a stick.

the jet II is not model specific..it will fit any 97-00 jeep 4.0 or dodge 3.9,5.2,5.9 with the pcm that has 3 large connectors, one white, one gray, one black.
$139.50?

The Jet Chips are model specific. (If you aren't using the right Chip, this may be the reason some people don't think it works.)
As I said in my previous post go to jetchip.com and look up the correct Jet Chip for your application.

thats odd, im not saying youre wrong, im saying im wrong, but thats where i got the chip from, and they said it doesnt matter...in retrospect, i dont see how its possible for it to be universal...i think its because it will 'fit' on the pcm that people say universal.
