If you can get 93 or 94 octane fuel where you live, get the M1 PCM flash now and then work on getting the M1 2bbl installed as soon as you can... You can run fine without it, but it's optimized for the M1's top-end breathing. A few people had the PCM flash done first, then had their M1's installed a few months later with no problems.

If you can't get 93/94 octane fuel, you may want to consider having a flash done inbetween the regular flash and the M1 flash. I can only get 91 octane here in Nevada, and with the elevation and weather conditions, I moderately ping between 1300-1700rpms if I'm just cruising around town. IMHO people who aren't near sea level or can't get 91 octane fuel should get the M1 flash for the higher rpm shift points but get the timing curve closer to the regular flash to avoid pinging issues.

The B&G flash drastically affects the way your vehicle drives in performance conditions. Of course everyone wishes it was cheaper but imho it was worth every penny.
