I just caught that today at work. Made me wonder a little bit with the shot of NOS at 125 shot. I could see 400 but 500 makes me wonder.

Well I have every mod he has maybe a little more except the 125 shot...well I have approx. 370 at the flywheel....add 125 shot and thats pretty close to 500HP. And a 99 w/ 31K miles is low I'm almost up to 30K miles on my '01.

i hope he has different pistons,on a stock motor it can only be a 75 shot,125 would be pushin it.i have 2 hotrods and i know nos an what it can do.

I really doubt he's getting 500hp out of that thing. Maybe, and this is a big maybe 500 at the crank. With my heads, cam, M1, headers, PCM, and UD pulleys, I was getting 300hp to the wheels on my wreked R/T. And as far as the nitrous, these trucks can easily handle a 150 shot on a regualr basis as long as you have a timing retard system and it's a wet shot. 100 shot can be used with no timing retard.

SB Chryslers hold up to nitrous very well , I have ran a 125hp fixed shot on 360 with Speed Pro hypers a few times with no problems at all.
Probably not the best idea but one of my friends has been spraying 275hp on his 318 with stock pistons - done it 6 or 7 times this year with no problems yet - runs 11.40's@119mph in a 3300# '90 Dakota.
