Subject: cam and heads help!!
IP: Logged

Message:
Its getting near christmas time and I need to make a little list but i need some help first. I am definitely getting the M1 but where did everybody order it from? My truck is a 97' 5.2 4x4 and I am looking for some guidance for the best cam for me. I am looking for one that is mid-range to high without totally losing bottom if possible. I was thinking new heads but decided to have mine ported and polished. Now, when i send my heads away will they need to know about my cam for a good setup and where is a reputable place to have this done. I understand you get what you pay for with heads so i want it done right the first time. Thanks for the help!

Without going into a TON of detail here-- send me an email srp@cox.net

I work directly with Crower cams-- and they ground a cam for me that works great with stock ported, or small valve non-ported RT heads. Be forewarned-- your stock heads MIGHT be cracked (highly likely with this magnum motors)... If you plan on porting a set of heads, they need to be magnafluxed to check for cracking-- Most are cracked.

The right combo will do you wonders.
