Message: Had a fun day at the track thrashing my 2003 CC 4.7 5 speed 3.92 geared Dak. It was cold and wet but the track kinda dried up to make decent passes. I went out with the slow cars to help dry the track and made several tractionless passes.
My best pass with a little traction in first was a 15.5 @ 87mph. This is 100% stock except no clutch fan. I was struggling to launch it off idle
without sitting and spinning. With more traction I figure I would of gone 2-3 tenths faster.
Best race of the night was a couple of the guys I was there with raced a couple Ford Lightning's with their Indy Rams. They were both close races but both Dodges won.

Message: I was at Toronto Motorsports Park, its 1.5 hours west of Toronto Ontario, Can. I have the Trac lock but I could not launch hard or I would turn a 18 sec et because the truck would not even move, but smoke the tires. Very hard to launch a stick easy, I used about 1000 rpm to launch then get into it. I only made 2 passes where I didn't smoke the tires in first. I even launched in 2nd once. My truck has 245/75R 16 tires so they are way to tall. I was shifting into 4th at the end. I could run 84 mph in 3rd or 87 in 4th. Likely shorter tires like 28" tall and sticky rear tires I could get to the 14.9 range. My best 60 foot was a 2.39. I started at 3.5's. The 4.7 is an impressive engine. I found 5000 rpm was the best spot to shift. http://blackproject.dnsalias.org/images/trackmeet/index.htm These are pics from the track. The 2 videos are bad quality but what can you expect from a picture camera.
