Car and Driver had the RSX type-s run a 15.4, bone stock of course. I think an R/T should have them easily. BTW, the new Hyundai Tiburon also runs a 15.4 :P Go Honda.

Its funny you ask that. A week or so after I got my 02 cc R/T I raced an RSX(I think it was a type s because it had the nice rims and everything). He roled up next to me at the light and started reving his lil 4 banger and rice burner exhaust (it was around 3 in the morning and know one on the road). My truck was all stock then and I launched on that car like you wouldnt believe. I pulled on him the whole time and he didnt catch up until I let up at about 80mph.

I am really disappointed in that particular car actually. For it's price, I would much rather a WRX. Man the fun those cars are for the price is hard to beat. RSX = sh1tty deal

Damn went out tonight and every little ricer wanted to race and i was like what's the point so i hole shot them and they get all pissy like LOL. And this is since i installed the SCAT DAK stripe. Must make me run 10.50 in the Quarter LOL.as for the RSX i have ran against one and they are quite fast and I was impressed but i don't let their quickness get me down because i look at like this if your Acura or Honda weighed as much as My Dakota then you would be impressed as well. anyway why is it a bad deal?? 2000 dollars more and u can turbo your RSX and it would be better then a WRX...speed and quality wise anyway(cant top awd)but WRXs are more money. makes a mustang GT a bad value too i think
WRX's cost more and they are subarus. acuras are cooler.

Lilblack, I dont know where youre getting the $2k figure, but it would cost alittle more than that to turbo an RSX. Secondly, the RSX is just an expensive "Accord". A WRX can be had for low $20s, couple that with about $1200 in bolt ons that put the WRX over 300hp at the wheels...easy!
Then there is the AWD feature. Sorry, the WRX is the better buy, even though it may be uglier.
And Ive already had a RSX try me. Wasnt even funny how bad he lost and I "rolled into" the pedal! Imagine if I stomped it!

I agree. The RSX and WRX are similarly priced, and the WRX easily outperforms the RSX. (over a full second to 60 and in the quarter). Sure you can just slap on a turbo and make it go faster, but it's gonna be more than $2k and will the driveline take it? Will the tires be able to handle it? Couldn't he just as easily put a larger turbo?
The F-bodies died because of these cars? (notice the F-bodies were cheaper, and almost 2 seconds faster in the quarter)

Acuras are not cooler than Soobies.
Our WRX is ghetto compared the STi. Once the EVO hits, Subaru will have to move it over here.

quality wise, no. I see so many more Subarus out there that just wont fuking die.
Acuras are an overpriced Accord.
I kind of like the look of the WRX, even though a lot of people think they are ugly. THe Baja is ugly.

haha.. this is pretty funny. My friend is about to buy a RSX Type S. I told him i will race him in my Heavy Ass 4X4 V8. I KNOW i could get him off the line until Top End comes in to play, but in the end, i think the RSX would beat me. But if i had a Manual Reg Cab 4.7 or Auto Reg Cab R/T, i dont think the RSX Type S would have a chance.
Alot of people arent realizing how "Untapped" the RSX Type S is. The TYPE S Engine is still brand new to the Market... give it a year or two.

alex, I am a big fan of the S4, but it's in a totally different class.
However, if you're interested, I found a 2000 S4 online for 8K OBO. Only problem is it was rolled a couple times.

Yep, xplikt, I know.....
I've got a buddy with an S and he has one single mod. He called Audi Racing Performance in Alabama and dropped $1100 on a single chip that bumps horsepower and torque upward by 30%. With the ability to turn it off & back on from the driver's seat while driving.
With the chip armed, when he nails the gas, in 3rd, 4th or 5th or even 6th, the acceleration will flatten your brain into mush.....
It's intense.

yeah i guess turbo would be more then 2000. i dont want a type S anyway. i want an auto(lazy). WRXs are cool but they dont really appeal to me and ive never seen one for under 24,000.
yeah audis are nice. my friend has an A4 1.8t..its fun to drive, not that fast though

i was just looking at the pricing and RSXs come with a whole lot more standard features, everything on WRXs is optional. and the interior is cool. its a nicer car on the inside i think

btw Type S runs between 14.8 and 15.2. and the Hyundai Tiburon has a V6!! with 181 hp!!(more then ours :P) but yeah celica gts's are in that area too all low 15s. but celicas and rsxs are 4 cyls that get better gas milage.

What about a 2nd Gen Eclipse GSX???... haha, Turbo AllWheel Drive. That engine with a bigger turbo, Computer Controlled boost, front mount intercooler and a bigger fuel pump haulllllls ass!... my friend had one that did a Mid 12 in the 1/4mile. His license plate said "WxnU4fun"
By the way, when the Lancer EVO does come out in the USA, it will carry the 4G63 motor. Which is the same motor that has been in the Eclipses til the 3rd Gens.

hahaha.. the problem w/ the rsx is that its a fwd.. no chance of the line... but if he got lsd then maybe another story.. but the thing is that the rsx = 6speed.. vs an auto r/t 5.9.. it'd be close but the numbers i got for an r/t 5.9 is something like 6.7 - 7.1 sec to 60mph.. and the rsx is 6.1 - 6.7.. so its faster to 60 and the quarter mile the rsx should be ahead.. its only givin up 5hps.. but it has 2 more gears...
just wait for the rsx type-r something like 220hp.. super tricked out suspension... i wouldnt even think 240hp is a problem... but its still a front driver so the lancer and the wrx will kill it in acceleration... but not handling numbers... or maybe? hahaha...

yeah s2000's are 2.0l 240 hp so honda can do it...lol...lancers are a different story, but they are also gonna be close to $30,000.
