I doubt seriously that any monkey who can turn a wrench will have much difficulty with the swap.

As far as a part#....how many cubes you got and what year? Check out your local parts store or Dodge parts dept.

What I want to know is just how long these things should last on the R/T as I have just exceeded the 60K mile marker and really don't want to use my extended warranty(despise stealerships).

Guess I should just go ahead and get a Hi-Flow pump beforehand and swap at the first sign of trouble.

I have 52,000 on my 5.2L 1998 . Thi ssucks to because I don't have another car yet and the rest of my parts for my truck are on order. Now I have to tear into and then tear into again. Waist of valuable time.

Mine lasted around 110K on my 318. Wasn't the worst thing to change out.

well i had the same thing happen to me..99' R/T 32k and i started smelling and seeing coolant leaking from pump...well i bought new pump and started tearing into motor. took off ac and alt brakets to get a better look..well looky there, it was that damn by-pass hose between intake and pump..it ripped on bottom causing coolant to leak on top of pump housing and on to the ground..i'm glad i double checked or i wuold of been out of 80 bucks......
