In my opinion the R/T production should have been halted when the 4.7 came out. Its silly to have a truck wear the R/T sticker when the smaller V8 has virtually the Same horsepower and torque given the weight to power ratio. When Chrysler redesigns every engine from bottom to top, something should tell you that maybe the 5.9 wouldn't be so cool anymore. I'll trade my 4.7 for a 5.7 after the first year Hemi Daks roll off the line. The 1997 Daks taught me never to buy the first year products no matter how much you want one cause there are always problems.
R/T's are dead, they just don't know it yet. All they are going to be known for in a year is for their horrible gas mileage.

R/T's are pretty cool, lowered and nice wheels, but should have gotton a 4.7, though still not the mods.

I like the 360, great engine to tweak. I'd rather see a 5.9 pumped up and super charged in the new R/T, but oh well.

Problem is the 5.9 is showing its age, and no matter how sympathetically nostalgic we feel about that old 360, its time for something new!

5.9 Old and Busted
Dodge should try to start a new program like GM does and send out a engineering team to tweak 10 more horsepower out of the 4.7 and 5.7 every year.

I don't care what vehicle its in, i would LOVE a HEMI. and i'd take my 287 over a 360 anyday.
