I have an '02 3.9l Dak... Question. I'm going to
relocate my IAT sensor tomorrow and have a
question: what if I have the quarter-turn (read:
Non threaded) model? I don't know if I do or
not, but I picked up the 1/4" plug so I'm ready...
How do I relocate it if I have the non-threaded
one?

thanks in advance,
jim

Since you bought the threaded one and you might have the non-threaded, why not just leave the original in and put the new one in the air intake. Then just move the plug from the old one to the new one. That way the old hole is plugged with the old sensor and your new sensor is in a cooler place. Does this make sense?

Hi Dave,

I just have the plug to put in the manifold, not
another sensor. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

OOOOOhhh, okay. You could always take it apart and lok first. YOu have to be able to put it back together, or how would they replace the sensor in the first place?

Good point! I'll hold off on drilling the hole in
my intake and see what happens. I guess I
can always order or get an older IAT sensor
and do what others have done (and what you
suggested)

Thanks for your time.

jim
