Subject: O2 sensors and Nitrous IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1996 dodge dakota 318, headers, true duals, and a compucar nitrous kit. I am having a problem with the O2 sensors going out, the last O2 only lasted about 2 months. Is there anyone out there that knows what might be causing the sensors to go out so quickly, the truck wants to load up and spudder when you pull off. What can I do so I don't have to keep buying $75.00 dollar O2 sensors.

Message: I know that certain rtv sealants will kill o2 sensors. Has the intake been off recently? Did they use o2 sensor safe rtv?

Message: It might be from the Nitrous as for it tends to lean out the mixture. As you already know lean means power but also it means extreme heat is also created. What you might want to do is go back to the Single Exhaust setup and from the muffler back split it back into two or might wanna try the FMS 19lbs injectors that might help you out.
