with 2 jobs, and racing on my only day off from both jobs, i wonder if ill ever get my dak finished.(motor and trans in, 8 3/4 installed, gotta work on the wiring,cooling,and fuel system yet). but here are some of the vehicles that i have beaten at my local 1/8th mile strip in my car:
viper (8.52)
mallet 435 vette (8.63)
(both of those were on street tires and spinnin like crazy)
lightning (8.14)
numerous ls1 firebirds and camaros(typically 8.6-9.5 range)
mustangs 4.6 and 5.0 (typically 8.9 to 9.9 range)
whats more fun is the car is a pontiac sunbird. it has run a best of 8.05 @ 86.69. i love watchin my opponents snicker on the starting line, then scrapin the floorboards with their jaws on the other end.
cant wait to get my dak done, the shock factor is just about gone on the sunbird, so i need something faster and stealthier. hehehehe

Mustang GT's 4.6 and 5.0 all model years. Camaro Z-28' and SS'. Rice out the arse. Held off a C-4 Vette. I didn't pull on him, but he didn't gain on me, this was from a 70mph roll up to 110mph. I jumped my truck racing an Integra couple weeks ago.

sleepers do rule... Had a 67 VW beetle do modest 14s in a 1/4. Not the fastest but made alot of people look twice. My favorite was putting a hurtin on a a few on import night:)
Haven't put a hurtin on anyone thats worth tellin with the truck. A few turbos and a 5.0 here and there.
I can tell you What was impressive that put a hurtin on me:)

I've got a pretty nasty '70 Bug. It's pushing over 250 RWHP at this time, but I'm trying to get it boosted up a bit more. Engine dimensions are 101.6 bore x 69mm stroke. That makes it 2237 cc and with my blow through turbo set up (and 15 PSi), pushes pretty easy 11-11.5 ish 1/4 mile times (depending on temp mostly). I've got to install a roll cage (total bummer) if I want to keep running it at this level at any track, but it's definitely a rip on the highway as well! Pissed off every ricer I could get to bite.

It's down right scary to drive. Never thought I'd say that about a VW, but man, this thing feels more like a motorcycle than a car. It's also pretty hairy to really get on it and watch the front end come off the ground for 3-4 seconds. That's REAL scary!

i raced a 96 GT w/an SVT cobra enine and a five speed with exhaust and 373's in my 92 dak... it was really funy b/c we left the line, we both broke traction, and he caught tract. before I did. we got up to 40 and i left him 1 1/2 car lengths behind me, we were doing 75 and i look behind me in my rear view mirror and see nothing but with steam from the back of his mustang. we pulled over and he ended cracking his intake manifold in the front. he was surprised that a granpa farm truck "smoked" his GT/Cobra. he said that he wouldnt try me if I paid him $100. :-) i love my truck/sleeper...

a 5.3 litre silverado got smoked, A b.m.w X5 4.4 litre got beat, and some jackass in a 96 sunfire thought he'd do well against me too. But he did'nt.
2001 4.7,3.55 gear, gibson cat back single side, airaid intake,jet performance module.

some sort of honda rice car with fart tube pulled up beside me in my 2000 reg cab 4x4 4.7 i just kinda turned my music down and looked at him and he said "u wanna go" so i just snickered and said ok he started revvin his weedeater ooops i mean car i just sat there idlin light turns green i floor it i got an auto so he had a lead from the start about 7 foot but by time he was hittin third i was blowin by him. course i had the advantage though he had a fatt girl riddin with him. but either way it felt good. like saying goes "there's no replacement for displacement"
