just drove an audi 1.8t quatro. not the fastest thing on earth but it handles great and the turbo is sweet!!! its awsome u can like floor it in a turn and right as u straighten out u get a power burst. its hot!!! i want turbo in my dak damn it!!!!! (ill never get it) but anyway, hopefully i can turbo my next car(01 maxima) hehe.
If anyone wants to buy my dak(i know u dont, but if u do) its a resonable $13,500(dealer retail is $17,000 according to kbb. $13,500 is the lowest i can go because that is the amount owed on the loan)

only problems are some of the paint is a bit messed up, its not horrible, but it is noticeable and a small crack in the wind shield that has been repaired by the insurance company and doesnt seem to be spreading anymore.

I have "tasted" a turbo too.

My buddy has a 2.2L 4cyl Dodge Shadow. In second gear, when the turbo kicks in at 25 Lbs of boost, he gets 323HP at the front wheels.... WOW... what a kick in the butt. from 10MPH to about 90MPH in about 5 seconds. 12.5sec 1/4 mile too!

Duners rig must be awesome.

Getting a turbo doesn't mean you can turn better! It's a sporty car, not a truck. A lot of things are easily an improvement over our trucks when it comes to handling. Whatever you do, STAY WITH THE TRUCK. Heh, but a turbo would be nice. A 1.8T A4 was one of my vehicle choices before I bought my truck.

I'd like to pick up a Supra twin turbo, i've driven a few and they are fast, and the electronic suspension lets you take curves at 160mph. They are a sweet ride, even if they are made in Japan.

i saw a tt supra at the track and it was rather disappointing... he only ran like low 10s in the 1/8th mile. I dont think he was a great driver at all. My Turbocharged Shelby was a blast to drive.... one thing that shelby added was faster steering and a handling package with bigger sway bars (1 1/4" on a 2000 lb car). Other than that i put the mopar autocross springs on it and i could pull probably well over 1 g in that car. My favorite thing to do was to go as fast as i can and go inbetween the road titties.... i think i got up to 40 mph and got inbetween everyone.

Try driving the '03 Jetta 1.8T. It's got a bit more power than the Audi A4, and is also a tad lioghter. You can throw that car all over the road and it does pretty darn well (not to mention that it really hauls butt!).

yeah the 1.8t is odd in that it isnt a rocket and yet it is a lot of fun to drive. really solid feeling car. u can shift with buttons on the wheel too. if u hold the brake and let the turbo spool it jolts u foward..lots of fun. we were in a wet parking lot and i was doing doughnuts around him with my truck. scared them...hehe. A4 wont really do doughnuts, just drives in a circle pretty much.

somebody buy my dak!!!! please

and why is fake me gen I?? im gen III

You could always buy the Jetta GLI VR6 (200hp) and a 6-speed, then buy the turbo kit for that. Can you say 400HP VW? Talk about a sleeper...

I'd love to build a new '03 Jetta GLI VR6 up and "run" to the grocery store.

I know somebody with a VR6 motor (2001)
with only a couple hundred miles on...needs a
new crank, that would be sweet if you could
make it work in an old school rabbit or
something.
