Subject: Shocks for 2001 Quad Cab ? IP: Logged
Message: I am wanting to replace the stock Shocks on
my 2001 Quad Cab. My initial research and comparison
has lead me to look for Pro Comp ES9000 shocks.
http://www.explorerprocomp.com/shocks.html
However, I can't seem to find an application
guide that lists a 2001 Quad Cab for any shocks !
Does anyone have any information on what shocks
will fit a 2001 Quad Cab ?
2001 Quad Cab SLT+ 4.7L, 5-Spd, 3.55 Lsd
ARE Cap, ArmaCoat Bed-liner, Pilot PILPL119X Fog Lights
Autolite 3923's, IAT Adjuster, K&N Drop-in w/modified intake
Roadmaster Active Suspension

Message: I read on "Dodgetrucks.org" that NAPA Shocks and Monroes were the same and were good (lifetime guranty.
I was thinking about going with the Edelbrock IAS shocks - rather pricey at $90 each.
You are right, there are very few applications listed for the QC. However, I belive that the fronts shocks are the same as any DAK V8. the rear shgould be the same for an extended cab as there is only around three - four hundred pounds weight difference.
Please post any other info for QC shocks!!
I've been so busy at work lately that I haven't had to to take care of my truck :0(
