well, it is upto date, the truck is gonna get repaired, for a day there was questions about it, the estimate was at 8500$ but icbc missed alot of stuff. they went today and recheked, and oked the fix. it is in the area of $10,000 now

Man, ICBC must have put a lot of money into your truck by now. Thats good that its getting fixed again. Haha, you could of sold a lot of stuff to me if it hadnt of been though (suspension, engine, anything else) What all do they have to fix this time?? Im actually looking for a 318 engine maybe, do you know of any??

GRANT, don't bother with a 318, you might as well go for a 360, it will be a big change, you will need all the wireing and computer to go along with that engine, make phone calls to all the auto wrecker, and get them to take your name and give you a call if they get any wrecked ones in.
I figure that there is about $35,000 worth of repair charges paid out by ICBC to fix my truck in the past 4 years.

ok, brought to top again, why doesn't anyone post on here, Hasn't anyone done anything to their trucks, come on people.
Oh! I will mention this now, a buddy of mine on the vancouver mustang board has informed me that they are planning a huge minishow/meet and cruise with other online domestic vehicle boards like us and the f-body's, It will almost be like the supercruises that are held in the summer that start off at surrey place mall and go out to cruisers diner in langley. Post if anyone is interested.

Hey, how many of you guys (if any) are in the Port Coquitlam/Coquitlam area? I've only seen a couple daks that don't look stock... one's a white R/T with blue stripes, it's a nice lookin truck, and then a few black R/Ts...

I'm not to sure about your area, but I am in surrey and there is about 10 dakotas that I can think of that have either been lowered or lifted. This summer a few of us here are gonna try and get a dakota meet and cruise together, there is also gonna be one with the guys/girls from www.vancouverstangers.com and the vancouver f-body forum for an all domestic meet/cruise.

In langley there are a few done out dakotas as well. I still think we should do something like get a club going for around here and get business cards to put on peoples windows to tell them about it. I always see nice dakotas around and we should get as many people as we can together at some point!

The blue on the engine is convolued wire cover. You can get it in all kinds of colors... pain to install, but it looks great!
Yeah, I'm pretty new to the site, didn't know about the meet...
Nice looking dak! Have you had any troubles with the front bumper being painted? I went to Mark's auto body in Port Coquitlam and they said that it might flake off after a while... where did you get it done?

Hey darcy welcome to the site. You should have no problems with the front bumper being painted, take a look at my truck, www.geocities.com/dropt_98_dakota I've had mine done for a long time without a problem, I have been getting all my work done at willowbrook collision, check their number in the phonebook, its the same but the address is different, if you call them talk to walley, awsome guy, hes the owner, tell him mike with the blue dakota sent your(they do know me, expecially after $25,000 worth of ICBC's 4 going to them cause of me ;) they will probably give you the best price.
No exact date on the finished repair date, but when its done it will be one of a kind in the lowermainland for awhile anyways, I'm getting the flames deleted and getting the cervinis dual scoop ram air hood, sniper grill and sniper bumper cover as well as the hurst short thow shifter. Should be good when its done. Not to brag or anything, but being the first around with a lowered dak, then the first with the streetscene gen1 bumper then the wings west one I just had to be the first with the cervini's.
I would also like to mention that I have seen a black R/T with chrome wheels rollin aroudn langley a couple times, hes got clear fronts and hood, possibly altezza tails, yesterday I saw him without a grill. Also in new west I spotted a blue one with canopy and 20" lexani wheels.

Hey mike, i saw that guy yesterday without a grill too, i wonder whats he's putting on. When are you going to have your truck then. That will be sweet to actually see the cervini's on a dak. Ya, darcy, my bumper hasnt faded or anything yet. They said if it does ever they will repaint it for free. That was at sunshine autobody in langley. Good place as well. Had my whole truck done there.

Darcy, I would have to say no more than $60 if you pull it off.... and while your at it pull your door and tailgate handles to and get them done, if you like that look might as well do it at the same time since they will already have the paint mixed.
Or instead of going to a shop, take it to BCIT or VCC and have the paint students do it, there I beleive you will only have to pay for the paint and not labour....

Nice looking truck BlkDak. Yeah I've got some pics, they're old though... well, nothing has really changed except for clear corners and I removed all of the badges and but a chrome DODGE from a Durango at the top left of the tailgate and a chrome V8 from a Grand Cherokee at the top right... that's all I've done so far... saving my money right now for a 3/5" drop and chrome R/T rims...

I will also see if I can start a message board on delphi (without paying) and link it off of the page. If you guys that have pics on your puter of the mini meet we had e-mail them to me and I will start off with those. Then I will try and get into doing a seperate page for everyones truck, it will take time and I don't get that much on here so perhaps some of you can help out as well in editing and adding stuff.

That is ok, if want to help go ahead. I have a way on yahoo to use lots and lots of space without getting charged. just keep opening accounts..... example. I was thinking for the main pages use up www.geocities.com/BCDOC and for the members pages use www.geocities.com/BCDOC2 as account names this way it allows you to use a crapload of space. If you run out of space with those two can go on with BCDOC3 and so on.

If you want a few pictures of the meet to start off the page.... go to my Site and save them off there onto your computer ... It's alot faster than emailing them to you and less hassle.
Then whomever is going to handle the individual pages... *darcy?* we can just email all the info. to you. I think most pics of our trucks already on the net so it will be easy to just save them onto your computer and transfer it to our site.
