 Subject: 1998 dakota biggest tires w/o lift?

Has anybody successfully placed bigger tires on thier Dakotas w/o a lift? I want to go up to P265/75R 16, the factory is now using P265/70R 16. The P265/75R 16 would put me at about the same OD as a 32" tire. Anyboby tried running 32's or P265/75r 16's without a lift?

I have a 98 Sport X cab 4x4 and before lift 32 rubbed when i went offroading. I now have a 5.5" Tuff Country lift and am running 35" with very very little or no rubbing.

Go ahead and throw them bad baoys on there. I have a 98 Dak 4x4. I had the ole 31x10.5 on it stock, then I put 32x11.5 on it and I wish I would have put 33x12.5". You will have plenty room

The 265/75-16 are not as wide as a 32x11.50. I had them on my Z-71. Should not be an issue.

i have an 89 with 31's and they dont rub at all, i dont know about a 32 though im soon to get 32in swampers on mine with cranked torsion bars and a 3in body lift.

I currently have 265/75 MT mounted on 16" rims and they rub slightly but if you tighten up the torsion bar that will give you more clearance. Also a guy I work with has 32 X 11.50 on his 1999.

I have an 02 Dakota and have 265/75-R16s tighented up the torsion bars and had no rubbing. Im getting ready to purchase 285/75s and ive been told that i shouldnt have any problem.
