there are many others, you can use any gear ratio as long as its your ring and pinion size. different companies make differnet ratios

How useless would 1st gear be w/ the 4.10 gears in a 5spd?

For daily driving you wouldn't need 1st very often but at the track it would give you a good quick launch as long as you don't miss #2. I have the 3.92's and a 5 speed and it has so much low end I have had some of the guys around here say that riding in my truck is like riding in a vette for power. It launches hard, if I didn't run as fast as I do and drive as far as I do then I would get 4.10's. I just couldn't loose that high end right now, I'm having to much fun with the Germans. This video is not much of a video its more like audio, but just think how much harder and faster it would rap up with 4.10's.

I know this is an old post but how is the hookup? Im running a 5spd on a reg cab with the 17X9s. My fear is that such a hig ratio will actually slow me down if i cant hook it up.

I lifted my Dakota and put 33" tires on. Would the 4.10s be better thant the 3.96s?
