ok its gonna happen my 2001 r/c 4.7 auto 3.55 dakota against my moms 2002 gt mustang(auto). ok speaking from personal experience i think i have more then a good chance to win, ive drove her stang and it doesnt seem any faster if it is any faster then my truck. my only mods are a 40 series flowmaster duals, and a soft tonneau cover. hers is stock with only 600 miles, ok im ready!

Step1: Take off your Hood and your Windshield
Step2: Have a buddy ride with you to pour a can of 104 Octane boost in your TB after launching and while keeping it at WOT(Caution: Best if Buddy is strapped in place to perform this for you)

ok more serious.....isn't no way your going to take a new gt. 260hp with really good gearing a whole lot lighter. You actually drove it and couldn't tell a difference?.....take the mustang back to the ford dealership and get a refund. The 4.7 will need some work to hang with the gt. Oh and with the flowmasters you probably make your truck a tad slower.....but it does sound good though?

I ran a 16.01 in the 1/4 with really bad traction
(2.8 60ft), and I have an 01 4.7 auto CC. there
was an 03 GT that ran a 15.9....you might have
a chance, if your mom doesnt know how to
race, if she just stomps it, she will break the
tires loose too much, you need to bring the
RPM's up to about 2000, and then ease into
the gas while letting off the brakes. It will
make for a small chirp, and then hold on.

I just traded in my 2000 Mustang GT 5 speed and bought an 02 QC 4.7l auto. Yes, the Dak is strong for a truck, but my Mustang was seriously fast. Now, if you're talking stop light to stop light, you won't get beat too bad, but let that Mustang get into third gear and you'll have to take apicture of the back of it to remember what it looked like.

i got a last minute peformance tip for ya. cut a 2-3 in hole in your intake tube, get a vacum cleaner hose, run the hose into the truck and blow in it when you start racin. thats good for a 1/2 a pound of boost. hehehe
