Message: I splurged ($9) and put in the 3923s today. Took it for a test drive and impression was good. Could not get my engine to ping like it did at low rpms with the much more expensive Bosch platinums. I tried 4th gear up hill under 20 mph and no pinging. Had to go to two stores to get them though, Pep Boys only had 1, Advanced auto only had 7!
Bernd, you da man.

Message: I also splurged at Pep Boys $7.12 on sale minus .25 each mail in rebate. How can they be so cheap? Maybe lack of quality control. As I was gapping them I noticed the inner porcelen (the part you would read for color after use)was free floating on the center electrode. Oh well, back to Pep Boys.

Message: Accell...more money than they're worth. Had too many problems with them in the past. (Quality control and bad insulators.)

Message: I heard that the 3923s are in a colder heat range than stock. If so is the gap different than stock? if so what is it? thanks

Message: The gap remains the same unless you are running an aftermarket ignition system, e.g., MSD 6A.
