Stock tail pipe, stock manifold, Stock y-pipe.

Replaced cat section with spiral flow muffler and removed the stock muffler and added a magnaflow one. Too much drone noise with just a pipe.

I have some gibson headers, but the are not installed, I haven't notice any difference between the two. I might need long headers :)

Stock block, pistons, crank, injectors, computer, and rockers. Next upgrades are 1.6RR none adjustable from SoutheastRT and either Hypertechs Programer III or BG or something rather PCM upgrade. And new tires :)

What rpm are you shifting at in those two movies?

I am having issues with my Leach flash and I am trying to determine how everyone else's flash is working.......

Both Duner (flashed similar to Leach) and Matt Barret (actual Leach flash) have been shifting their trucks at 6000 rpm with full power all the way up. Duner was able to do this prior to the turbo, as well. So I expected the ability to rev that high with my Leach flash.

What I am experiencing is similar to the rev limiter still being in place. But the engine doesn't die. It just acts like all the fuel is being shut down to a trickle.

Let me put it like this.....

Launch in 1st gear and it winds right up to 5400 shoving me back in my seat. Sounds just like yours did in the videos. Then RIGHT at 5500, it goes from pushing me back in my seat to smackin my chin on the steering wheel. Instantaneously. The engine does not shut off, the rpms do not drop, but the truck noses over VIOLENTLY and stutters & bucks until I grab 2nd gear.

Then at the top of 2nd gear, same thing RIGHT ON 5500 rpm.... same in 3rd, and I havent' had a chance to try 4th. hahahaha

But I have talked to Tom at Leach and Duner and Matt and a few other Mopar nuts around here and we have several theories. My base theory is still (as it has been) that there's something in the PCM that's not right. Leach has agreed to fix whatever is going on, but I need to test a few things on the dyno (this Saturday). I need to know what the fuel pressure looks like at 5500 rpm, and that is much easier to do on the dyno than on the highway.

So i will have the problem solved soon, but since your video #1 went dark and video #2 froze at the beginning (the sound continued, though) I was just wondering what the tach was doing......

Wish to God I could get a crack at the Autobahn with my 3.55 rear gears! hhahahahahahha!!!!

just for grins I'm redoing it tomorrow on a road with no trees to block the light and I'm gonna turn on the dash lights. I borrowed the digi from my boss, he leaves day after tomorrow for a week and a half so it's the last chance, for a while.

Also do you have the HO cams yet, before I got them in mine kinda fell on its face about 5,400 rpms, just quit makin power. Now with the cams it pulls hard all the way to 6,000+.

Good Luck.

Hot damn, how do i make my rpm go that high like Anthony's truck in his movie. I have a stock engine '98 Ext. cab dakota. 3.9L with a V6. I'm getting my Ravin muffler installed this weekend so that should add a couple hp.

I not only have the cams, but also the HO intake manifold that shoudl almost GAURANTEE that I can rev to 6000. But alas, it still crumbles to its knees at 5500. Currently i am at 14.66 in the 1/4 mile, and I'd love to see a 14.5 or 14.4 before this is over......

I don't have a custom PCM yet, so I did the column shifting. PCM cuts out at 5250, so I threw it into 2nd right before it cuts the fuel :)

Jim,

I just noticed the oil pressure you was talking about on Anthony G's R/T. Man that is low, mine rides right on the top normal mark, WOW.

WEW, had me worried, analized my video's 10 times trying to see what you seen that I didn't.

It was hot out, plus I was at idle for a minute or two before taking off, since I run half-syth it take a few second to go back up. Normal driving keeps it around the middle range and high RPM go even higher. Most 5.9L owners notice that too.

All I know is that when I floor it and hold it at WOT like you did...my pressure rises just as rapidly as your RPM did in that sweet vid of yours. Wonder what the result would be if you got that adjusted higher.

Sorry about that Lynn...should have pointed out AG's vid. Couldn't pull yours up from this PC.

Drew, there are only a few people that can flash a dodge pcm. the flash basicly gives you the same performance that the mopar PCM gives. the reason people do the flash, is because the mopar PCM is not availabe for all years and engines.

mopar never made a PCM for a v6, so if you ever decide to "tweak" the computer, you will have to get it flashed..so there

ps. the jet chip does nothing
