 Subject: FYI Cat removal 2002 4.7L

I've been reading the boards here since I bought my 2002 QC 4.7L Auto in August of this year. I'm puzzled by some of the threads on removing the third cat. My Dak only has one big cat about 12 inches in front of the muffler, with O2 sensors before and after it. If I remove this cat it will it not almost certainly trip a MIL????

Yes if you remove this cat it will trip a MIL light. My 02 I bought in November of 01 has only one cat like yours.
02 4.7 one cat, with 02 sensors before and after.
