ok...first...my truck...99 cc r/t with 36000 miles, toyo 60 series, taylor wires, champion plugs, 165 degree thermo, flowmaster muffler, kandn drop in filter, jacobs n2o mastermind, and n.o.s. n20 kit (jets for 55-100 hp)
now...my arch-enemy...98 rc r/t, stock tires, 0 miles on new engine, hes got a new block , roller rockers, new cam, headers with hollow cat, and no tailpipes after the flowmaster, 4bbl intake with ram air hood, m1 style intake, heads ported and polished and a new gear in the rear end...
can i beat this kid??? how close will it be??

IMO I think it`ll be real close. Both should have about 300 rwhp if you run the 100 horse jets. That NOS gives big torque :-) so you may get em if you can hook it.

Ok, first off I know next to nothing about N2O, but as far as the M1 style intake with the 4bbl TB you might have an edge. From what I have read that intake is for high reving engines, around 7k I believe. Compound that with what sounds like a possible loss of backpressure and you might have a good chance. Of course this is all bench racing though. If it is 0 miles as you say, why not race him and try and get him to pop the motor, which would probobly shut him up. You never know till you try.

so the guy basically has a new magnum 5.9 with all the $hit done to it? and its in a rc. you have a cc with not many mods but you have a 100 shot. now i would say this guys mods are good for about 100 good hard reliable hp. while you have 100 on tap. the guys truck is lighter. so i think hes gonna beat ya. if hes got high gears and those mods he gonna be pullin some killer runs. and a new motor to! wow, look out

I think the only way you'll beat him is if his new engine blows up! You have 100hp of nitrous but he has 100hp of mods that are on all the time.

oh wow, i need a nap!!
btw, if i can get him to race me before he breaks it in, will the motor go pop??? he beats that thing like a rented mule, so i think with some prodding i could get him to line up

There is possibly a chance it would break before everything gots broken in. You could always try and talk him into spraying more N2O to try and make a failure happen. Of course I shouldn't eve suggest this since it is a fellow dak

I know this isn't exactly the same thing, but... I knew a guy once that had 93 318 auto Dakota with a cat-back exhaust and Mopar Performance computer and it ran a 14.3(3.91 gears). With a 150 shot, it ran a low 12.
With a 100 shot, you can figure about no more than 1 1/2 seconds I would think. If it were me I would run a 150 shot on it since it is considered safe on a stock motor and the mp computer. Run Autolites 3922's or equivelent. So if you want to be in suspense, run just a 100 shot. I would say you would run a high to mid 13 now. I thought you couldn't run anything colder than a 180 thermostat in these trucks?

Go ahead and run him. With the mastermind, shoot the most you can off the line and not spin the tires. You want the tires to barely break loose, thats all. You will be amazed at what that Jacobs mastermind will let you do. A guy that had one on 350 tuneport Camaro ran 11's and left only a little s in the road that was only a foot long where the car squated and hooked up. He was running McClearys.

He has more power then you in his mods, but he wont go anywhere off the line. Those stock tires suck, i couldnt get anywhere with them. I would say you could get him with a good jump. Just race him until 70 and you should be able to get him.
